On December 14th (this Friday), the last season of Voltron drops on Netflix. After working on it for over three years, it’s a bit surreal that it’s all coming to an end. The team has put together so much time and effort into bringing this show to life. Studio Mir in Korea is truly a powerhouse of animation. Voltron would have definitely not been possible without the dedication of the talents working at Mir. To the team, It’s was such a pleasure working with you. For some, we’ve been working together since Korra and what a journey we’ve come together after all these years. For those I met on Voltron, It feels like I’ve known you all my life, and I’m grateful that Voltron finally brought us together. We’ve all grown together, and fought the tough battles. And now that it’s coming to an end, I miss you all. So here’s a memoir piece to sum it all up. Till the next time we come together!
I am so glad to finally see Marisha getting the praise she RIGHTFULLY DESERVES!!
After years of constant hate from a big portion of the fanbase, and that hatred even carrying on to her new character, tonight I saw so much love for her in chat. People were calling her “mvp” and spamming her emote, which happens a lot but not as much for Marisha I have to say. As someone who loves Marisha/Beau/Keyleth it was so nice to see.
After her speech with the Plank King was successful it almost looked like she was about to cry, and it just reminded me especially of how much pressure she is under. If she makes a SINGLE MISTAKE she is disproportionately shamed/hated for it. (just look at the ridiculous overreaction to the infamous ‘bowl gate’)
And I think just seeing her in her element, roleplaying her heart out, making bold and interesting decisions, and in general being an amazing person really made this episode one of my favorites so far.
